Socks 4 Souls Canada<\/a><\/h2>\n

\u201cOur Text to Donate campaign has been an incredible compliment to our other donation streams. It\u2019s an additional option for our donors so we can meet them where they are, whether in person, online, or on their phone. By promoting Text to Donate at our in-person events, sharing on our social media and website, and partnering with a radio station to share on air, we have been able to spread the word to our community. If we didn\u2019t offer a text to donate option, we would be missing out on the generosity of hundreds of people and thousands of dollars in impact.<\/i><\/p>\n

It has been a pleasure working with the Mobile Giving team. They\u2019ve made the process incredibly simple for us, and even offering very helpful Q&A webinars so we can learn from other charities and get new ideas for promotion of our campaigns. Our annual 3-month campaigns have been easy to set up and launch and because of their simplicity and success, we have decided to run the campaign all year long for 2025.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

The Snowsuit Fund<\/a><\/h2>\n

\u201cThanks to our first ever text-to-donate campaign using the Mobile Giving Foundation Canada platform, The Snowsuit Fund of Ottawa can provide 700 snowsuits to needy kids in our community this winter! At the $25 donation level that\u2019s a lot of new donors texting \u201cS-N-O-W\u201d and sharing their warmth! MGFC worked with us to find unique ways to customize the donation path for our loyal listeners. Through our on-air broadcast and our social and digital platforms, we\u2019ve invited listeners to turn their enthusiasm for our community radio programming into an easy donation. If a particular song or program resonates with a listener, mobile giving is a great way for them to connect with CKUA and support us. Some listeners donate for the first time through mobile giving. Others are motivated to \u2018top up\u2019 their ongoing support with a one-time mobile donation; still others donate multiple times. Shaw Charity Classic Foundation<\/a><\/h2>\n

\u201cIn 2020, thousands of donors from across Canada \u2018chipped in\u2019 for more than 200 charities that support Alberta youth through the Shaw Charity Classic and its charitable giving program, Shaw Birdies for Kids, presented by AltaLink. From July 13 to August 30, 2020, Canadians were able to text-to-donate $10 to the Shaw Charity Classic Foundation.<\/i><\/p>\n

Shaw Communications matched every donation dollar-for-dollar, up to a total of $150,000. The donation was matched again up to an additional 50 percent by the Shaw Charity Classic Foundation, turning $10 into a donation of up to $30 to participating charities. Although we were not able to come together for the 2020 Shaw Charity Classic tournament due to the pandemic, the community spirit of the tournament continued through the Chip in for Kids text-to-donate initiative.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Canadian Red Cross<\/a><\/h2>\n

\u201cOur partnership with the Mobile Giving Foundation Canada has been integral in the establishment and growth of our mobile fundraising programs at the Canadian Red Cross. With their help we were able to navigate the relatively small and unknown channel of text to donate through the massive Alberta Fires Appeal in May of 2016 and from there build and maintain an established mobile giving program.<\/i><\/p>\n

We have, with the help of MGFC, been able to provide text campaigns for our corporate partners as well as our internal teams along with creating a new type of monthly donor within mobile giving. Their approach has always been collaborative and supportive which we look forward to for our continued growth as we explore new innovations and all the possibilities within mobile giving and philanthropy.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

Nova Scotia SPCA<\/a><\/h2>\n

\u201cIn December 2019, there were three new litters of puppies born and we ended up having 53 dogs in our care! Thanks to the support of donors, and being able to offer an easy way for them to give via text message, all the pups and dogs received the medical care, intense rehabilitation, and love they needed. They now have a second chance at a safe, happy, and healthy life.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
